Here I am, standing in my favourite room of my home in Genoa. My name is Giampietro Stocco and I was born in Rome in 1961. I got my university degree in 1986 with a thesis on the problem of national minorities in Denmark and Germany between 1918 and 1945. From 1987 to 1989 I worked on my master's degree in Roskilde University Center and Aabenraa Institute for Border Region Studies. In 1988 I was hired as a journalist by RAI - Radiotelevisione Italiana, a job that has taken me to Ancona, Rome and, from 1998 to present day, Genoa.
